Cool new web site that covers all the music you love.... you know, ME! From Hip-Hop to Hard Rock, these guys cover it all. Check it out now on the ground floor. I think this site has some real potential to expose new artists, undiscovered music, and all the hit makers in one cool place.

Also, they interviewed ME!

"Damned If I Do" on TRUE BLOOD next week!!

The July 18 new episode of HBO's TRUE BLOOD series will feature my song Damned If I Do, from RED REVELATIONS! Jace Everett -- Red Revelations album cover

As you all know, the show leads off with "Bad Things." For the July 18 episode -- the plot details of which must of course remain mysterious -- we'll hear a few minutes (that's a lot!) of "Damned If I Do" during the action. Perhaps looking at the lyrics will suggest what might happen (you can listen at Amazon or iTunes or other digital stores):

Damned If I Do
(Everett/Delray)

Late at night,
All I can do
Is walk these streets,
And think of you.
Time goes by,
But not for me;
So easy to preach,
But hard to believe.
And I'm damned if I do,
Damned if I don't
Want you.

To taste your lips,
To touch your skin,
To hold you close,
And drink you in;
I should let you go,
But I don't know how;
I'm no good for you,
And I'm nothing without.
And I'm damned if I do,
But damned if I don't
Want you.

A Boat Load of News!!

Man oh man.... a lot of stuff to talk about! Actually, enough that I'll be splitting some of this off into a different blog... Anyway... First of all, Dan Cohen and I are headed to Norway tomorrow. We'll be on the small screen, the radio, and the good old print media trail. (Music just sounds better in a newspaper). I'll put the performances up on the requisite websites.

Secondly, "Damned if I Do", written by myself and Stephany Delray, will be appearing in the July 18th episode of "True Blood"!! I know some scene details, but have made the typical "HBO Death Oath" and can't reveal them. It's gonna be kinky... but hell, it's "True Blood", waddya expect!

Third on the list of bofo announcements; a new music video for "One of Them" will be released in the next few weeks. It's every bit as twisted and bizarre as the tune! Matt Blair, a good friend and fantastic film maker, will be delivering the finished product to me this very week! Stay tuned.

Last, but not least; recording for the new album will begin in August. Even better? You can come watch! Check out this link: MPI

That's all for now, but check back for some more info on upcoming "True Blood" tunes and the beginning of the new record!

Whew...that was looong....

Finally finished up the "Spring" tour. Ostensibly, because it became summer before we got home. From Stockholm to Iowa City it was a hell of a run! Thanks to all the Swedes, Norwegians, Vikings, Irish, Scots, Brits, Welsh, and Yanks that came out to watch me sweat my ass off!
Now for a luxurious week off; laundry, yard work (damn gutters), laundry, family time, laundry, and of course...laundry.
I'll be posting some more dates on Monday... 'cause the whole dang thing reboots for a "Summer Camp" run on July 3rd! Shows will include Norway, Oregon, and sunny California. Also, 2 NEW songs in "True Blood" this season. Stay tuned....

I've Been a Bad, Bad Boy....

I've gotten VERY lazy about posting on here. I just made a resolution to post here at least once a week hence forth. (Actually, the president of my label just told me that's my resolution!) Anyway, it has been a wild 3 months of touring. We have the night off in Iowa City, Iowa tonight. Tomorrows show is gonna be killer. I'm opening for Charlaine Harris!! Charlaine is the creator of the Sookie Stackhouse character and the Southern Vampire series of books which is the basis for True Blood. To say she's been a blessing in my life would be a gross understatement. I can't wait to see her again. If you're around, then come see us!

OUT 4 BLOOD

OUT 4 BLOOD Friday, January 29, 2010 9:00 pm @ Echoplex FEATURING ARTISTS FROM HBO’S ‘TRUE BLOOD: CC Adcock & The Lafayette Marquis John Doe, Jace Everett, and others The Grammy-nominated ‘True Blood’ soundtrack comes alive in a night of music from HBO’s acclaimed series at the Echoplex on January 29. Reflecting the present-day Southern Gothic atmosphere portrayed onscreen, the soundtrack’s haunting song selections lean toward a large helping of roots-oriented, swamp-flooded, Louisiana-influenced sounds; performed by contemporary and classic practitioners of the genre. Gary Calamar, music supervisor for ‘True Blood,’ says “I am thrilled that we are able to pull together some of the amazing artists who are on the ‘True Blood’ soundtrack for this very special show. And....we are trying to secure some surprise guests as well. It's going to be badass !" Out 4 Blood is made possible in part with generous support from Louisiana Entertainment and proudly recognizes Louisiana’s Year of the Song, celebrating the historic contribution of the state’s songs and songwriters. The Echoplex is located at 1154 Glendale Blvd. in Echo Park. Info: 213.413.8200. Tickets $10.00 plus applicable service charges available in advance at www.ticketweb.com, $12.00 at the door. 18 and over show.

The Holiday T'ain't...

Well, it's that weird time... Not Christmas, not New Years. T'ain't neither one! But it's always a good time to get your Red Rev on!

Order now and you can get my new record, "Red Revelations" for the exact same price as always!!

How can you resist?

January will be spent writing and recording. There are some exciting new things happening. A certain rumbling and bumbling that I know to be the beginnings of killer tunes. There will be a new TV show in 2010 featuring a killer theme song... More on that later. (and no I don't mean True Blood Mach3, although that will be out in June).

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, free of terrorists, dysfunctional governments, and dirty Santas.

We'll have some new tunes up in the next month or so, so come back often and keep spreading the good word...

Peace, JahSay

Don't Get Scrooged!

So I'm all about my new album, "Red Revelations". It's my latest, my favorite and truly where my heart is right now. Every stocking should be filled with such good cheer! That said, I made an album in 2007 of which I'm also quite proud. It's called "Old New Borrowed Blues". After going through the major label gauntlet I felt pretty beat up and creatively spent. "ONBB" was where I began to get my mojo back. The album is acoustic, "unplugged" if you will. It features myself, Chris Raspante (guitar), and Phillip Pence (bass) playing some old and new material. More of a country/blues feel on this record and very intimate.

This album was released solely via my web site in the U.S. due to some contract details with Sony. I was, however, allowed to do a label deal in the UK.

The terms of that deal meant that they could sell the album ONLY in the UK.

So.... when you see "ONBB" for sale ANYWHERE else (Amazon, iTunes, eBay, etc.) please understand that it has NOTHING to do with me or my business partners; Wrasse Records, the Haywood Group or Weston Boys. The only place to purchase this record from me is this web site, www.www.jaceeverett.com/store.

I bring this up because I have had some complaints from fans about the ridiculous pricing of this album on Amazon. Check out this link:ONBB on Amazon

Please know that we would NEVER charge over $30 for a CD! That is asinine.

If you want some tender-juicy-country-blues... don't mess around! Come to the source!
