Track Listings for the “Red Revelations” album

As we are already getting some pre-orders coming in I need to clarify the track listing on each version:

Red Revelations Compact Disc:
1. Possession
2. Burn for You
3. More to Life (C’mon, C’mon)
4. The Good Life
5. Damned If I Do
6. One of Them
7. Permanent Thing
8. Little Black Dress
9. Lean Into the Wind * CD only track
10. What It Is?
11. Slip Away
12. Bonus Track- Bad Things (Theme Song from True Blood)* CD only track

Red Revelations Vinyl (both the standard 180g black and the Special Blood Red Edition with 180g red vinyl):
1. Possession
2. Burn for You
3. More to Life (C’mon, C’mon)
4. The Good Life
5. Damned If I Do
6. One of Them
7. Permanent Thing
8. Little Black Dress
9. What It Is?
10. Slip Away

The Special Blood Red Vinyl Edition will include: 180g red vinyl disc, an autographed jacket, and a signed photo. The SBRV Edition is a VERY limited run and we already have a significant number of pre-orders on this product. Get ‘em while you can, kids.

Please note that “Bad Things” and “Lean Into the Wind” are NOT included on either vinyl edition. It is a running time issue intrinsic with quality vinyl production and not a nefarious plot by evil doers. If you want those tunes (and you know you do) you must purchase the CD version. Of course, several of our pre-order customers already know what time it is and have purchased both CD and vinyl versions of the record. Those who do make a pre-order (anytime before June 23rd) will enjoy free shipping on any CD order. So load up!

During the closing credits of the first episode of the second season of True Blood, they played a country song whose title might be “The Blood Christ,” or a least that was the main phrase of the song.
Who was singing the song? Was it Jace Everett, the singer of
“Bad Things” on the opening credits? Is the song available for purchase?

  4. 4. JE June 15th, 2009 at 8:45 am

I believe that was Randy Travis singing “Nothing But the Blood”. It’s a traditional Christian hymn.

I can’t wait until the CD and SBRV edition show up. I’m anxiously looking forward to it. Keep it up the good work Jace.

I love your music!!!!! Could you possibly tell me if your self-titled debut cd was released in Canada. So far I can’t find it,so if it wasn’t I’ll start searching in the states. Can’t wait to hear the new stuff. Thanx Deb.

  9. 9. JE June 21st, 2009 at 10:24 am

    Deborah,
The self-titled record is out of print. It was so gosh darn popular that they quit making it! Weird, huh?

Anyway, you can get it at iTunes for cheap. I’ve seen it sell on eBay and the like for as much as $120.00, which is just silly. If you’re looking for “Bad Things” and songs of it’s ilk then I humbly suggest buying “Red Revelations”. “Bad Things” is on there and the other 11 tunes are like new, shiny, 1 owner, and almost smoke-free.

The First episode of True blood season 1 was aired last night on UK/Irish tv & the 1st comment today from everyone was “That was brilliant & the second was who sings the theme tune”. well now I know I’ll be sure to spread it round. Fantastic unique sound Jace. Congratulations in advance of your success on this side of the atlantic.

    Hello!
    I’m Edina from Hungary.
Hungary is a little Central European country. At us not too popular the country music. I found out one of your music with the occasion of a night Internet roaming and that rang in my ear until next days. I ordered your CD now… :)
    Thank you for the experience.

Your English is better than my Hungarian… is that what you speak?Anyway, thanks for saying hello!

About a month ago I happened to see the beginning of a TV-show called True Blood that appeared on TV here in Norway, and within the first minute I was totally captured by the song “Bad Things”. If the rest of your album is in any way as good as that song, I’m buying it :-) Ever going to Europe on tour?

  24. 24. Selena October 4th, 2009 at 4:16 pm

Can’t wait ’til I can see you live, great music, refreshing blend. Thanks for sharing with the world guy:)

  25. 25. Mae October 11th, 2009 at 4:52 pm

What Helene from Norway writes above is my sentiments exactly, except that I have listened to “Red revelations” (on ReverbNation) and already ordered it. Sadly it will take some time before I get it – Sweden seems to be a far-off country ;-)
I also must join in to Helenes question: Any chance of seeing & hearing you live in Europe? or indeed in Scandinavia?

  26. 26. Gary October 12th, 2009 at 10:17 pm

It took some time before I found out who was singing the theme for True Blood. You are one hell of a singer. I will be buying your CD’s!

  27. 27. Jackie October 15th, 2009 at 5:26 pm

After watching all the 1st series of True Blood I finally found out who was singing the opening song Bad Things. Just been on Amazon and pre-ordered it today. Love the song and looking forward to hearing the album. My mum will be wanting to listen as well as she is also a fan and she’s in her 70’s…..

So far I love all the JE cds I have bought in the past couple of weeks. I have to say Red Revelations is my favorite. Like everyone else, I love the song Bad Things, but lawdy boy, when I listen to Damned if I Do I start dreamin’ that I am slow dancing in the middle of a dark honky tonk with some tall drink of water while the aroma of ale fills the air. Maybe I just have a very vivid imagination or I am in dire need of “a date”…either way, the song sizzles .

BTW…my ass is smaller in that dream as well…:)

  32. 32. Mary Ann January 7th, 2010 at 10:54 pm

Hello! As I write this, you have been on stage in Nashville less than 2 hours. I am in Bowling Green, KY (less than 1 hr away). I got on here (for the first time) to see if you were coming anywhere near here, anytime soon. Curses!! I missed it!! Just my luck! Best wishes, and I hope to catch you next Nash-Vegas show.

I have already told you about my infatuation with the song Damned if I Do, but at the risk of turning to my complaining, 10 yr oold child and yelling, “I’ll play that damn song as many times in a row as I want, and if you don’t like it you can move out!”, I have had to try to refrain from clicking track 5 then repeat, and repeat, and repeat…etc, unless it’s between school hours or I am wearing headphones. I do listen to the RR cd in it’s entirety for the most part, and although Damned if I Do still holds a very, very special place in my heart, I have to give kudos to that the rest of the tunes on the cd. They’re actually all quite awesome. The songs either make you want to shake your grove thing or get your grove on. So I guess you could say the Red Revelations cd is all so very ……groovy :)

Hey! I really like your sound, your voice is ah-mazing and has a intricate depth to it, and I usually have trouble finding artists and music I genuinely like. Just wanted to let you know, I’m going to hunt down your album because of how awesome it is even if I’m in Australia and unable to buy online. Good luck on your musical adventures.

truly, truly very AWESOME!! I am deeply in love with your voice ;O)

Have you ever taken a trip with someone and that drives you so crazy that you know one of you is not going to make it back home alive…and that person is not going to be you. I have been on vacation with my older neighbor, Kay, the past week. First off, I started the trip a little bummed since I thought I forgot my Jace Everett music and the trip as been downhill spiral since. Kay has been on my last nerve since the day we left on this trip. Her complaining about everything from which lane I am driving in to the way I drink my coffee (with lots of flavored creamer…just in case you were wondering) is going to land my face on a WANTED poster. Yesterday while driving up the Blue Ridge Pkwy I started contemplating pushing her off one of the thousand overlooks she made me stop at…. but then I found your Red Revelations CD. I was so ecstatic! So, thanks to your CD my mood has changed…and Kay still lives. For now.

  38. 38. Sonya July 13th, 2010 at 12:41 pm

We’re gonna need evidence that kay is still actually breathing….
